Article 14(3) distinguishes between measures built into the system by the provider before placing on the market (Article 14(3)(a)), such as technical controls, mandatory review workflows, and confidence thresholds, and measures identified by the provider as appropriate to be implemented by the deployer (Article 14(3)(b)), such as operator training requirements, workload limits, and escalation procedures.
