Warning Tier A warning alert indicates that a metric has breached its warning threshold, typically set at a level indicating potential drift before the compliance threshold is reached. The Technical SME reviews the alert within five working days. Root cause analysis is initiated. If the cause is identified and benign (a known seasonal pattern, a one-time data quality event that has been corrected), the alert is documented and closed with the rationale. If the cause is unclear or concerning, the alert is escalated to the AI Governance Lead. Warning alerts that persist without resolution are escalated automatically after the five-day review period. Warning alerts provide the early detection window that prevents critical alerts. A well-calibrated warning threshold gives the organisation time to investigate and remediate before the metric breaches the compliance threshold. Key outputs

  • Five-working-day Technical SME review
  • Root cause analysis initiated
  • Benign cause documented and closed; unclear cause escalated
  • Auto-escalation after review period
