Resumption Criteria The break-glass procedure specifies what conditions must be met before the system is restarted. Resumption criteria are predefined in the AISDP, authorised by a named individual (the AI Governance Lead for compliance-triggered suspensions, the Technical SME for purely technical suspensions), and verified through a documented checklist. The resumption checklist typically includes: root cause identified and understood, corrective action implemented or confirmed not to require system change, all validation gates passed on the current system state, deployers notified that service will resume, evidence preservation completed, and the AI Governance Lead’s written authorisation. A system that is restarted without meeting the resumption criteria risks reintroducing the same harmful behaviour. The resumption decision is documented in the oversight log and retained as Module 7 evidence. Key outputs

  • Predefined resumption criteria in AISDP
  • Named authoriser for resumption decision
  • Documented checklist verified before restart
  • Module 7 AISDP evidence
