Notified body documentation expectations are materially more demanding than for internal assessment. Where internal assessment might accept a cross-reference to a test result stored in MLflow, a notified body expects the result to be extracted, contextualised, and presented as a self-standing evidence artefact.
The NB evidence pack supplements the standard evidence register with narrative summaries explaining the significance of each artefact, a traceability matrix mapping every AISDP claim to its supporting evidence, test result summaries that include methodology, sample sizes, statistical significance, and limitations, and a glossary of organisation-specific terminology. The pack should be self-contained: a notified body assessor should be able to evaluate the system’s compliance using the pack alone, without requiring access to internal systems for basic understanding.
The AI System Assessor should request the notified body’s published assessment methodology before engagement, as this shapes how the evidence pack is structured. Different bodies may emphasise different aspects of the assessment.
