Updates on Material Changes & Version Alignment
The AI Act requires registration information to be kept up to date throughout the system’s operational lifetime. Any change to the registered information, including system status, intended purpose, deployment member states, or certification details, must be reflected in the database. The Conformity Assessment Coordinator establishes a change management process that triggers database updates whenever relevant changes occur.
This process integrates with the broader AISDP change management framework. When a substantial modification or other material change is processed through the change management workflow, the Conformity Assessment Coordinator assesses whether the change affects any registered information and submits an update if so. The registration version should align with the AISDP version; a discrepancy indicates that a registration update was missed.
