The Internal Assessment Report is the formal output of the conformity assessment. It summarises the assessment scope, methodology, assessor team and their qualifications, findings by phase (desktop review, evidence verification, live system verification, stakeholder interviews), the Non-Conformity Register summary by severity, and the overall conclusion (conformity demonstrated, conformity demonstrated subject to remediation, or conformity not demonstrated).
The report is signed by the lead assessor and reviewed by the AI Governance Lead. It is retained for ten years as the evidential foundation for the Declaration of Conformity. A competent authority reviewing the Declaration will expect to see the Assessment Report that supports it.
